Came here the first night in party mode and the vibe did not disappoint. Owner was playing the piano and was so wonderful! Walking by the second night and he saw us and said HEY! So we stopped in for a drink and was again so welcoming and accommodating. HIGHLY recommend for great service and such a good vibe!

Such a lovely pub in Mondello which is definitely worth the visit. The staff are so friendly and the live music is fantastic. The food and cocktails were also very tasty and for great prices too.

I was expecting better experience having read all the reviews but was a bit disappointed. They forgot about my pasta and it was average to say the least when it was served. A bit pricey also. The host is really nice though and it was a pleasure to have him play the piano in the background.

Excellent service! We happened upon this place after a long day travelling and while walking to the food market. We were hungry and thirsty. We are from New Zealand and have been in Italy two weeks and whilst our Italian is extremely limited we always try and order in Italian and never ever expect English. The man who served us immediately picked up we were obviously foreigners and offered us an Aperitivo. In English. It wasn’t just that he spoke English it was that he anticipated what we needed and made it so easy for us to make a choice when we were too weary. He made us his latest signature cocktail (yum) and our platter was the biggest and most delicious we have had since we got to Italy. We felt restored and nurtured and we will definitely be back. Extremely friendly kind generous service.

Really friendly staff, good coffee, family friendly! Nice for breakfast as well! We really recommend it!

I visited Bar Galatea in Mondello for three mornings and had a great experience. The service was quick, especially for coffee. I always ordered espresso, and it was fantastic - strong but not bitter. They also offer a nice variety of savory and sweet options. If you're looking for a quick morning bite, I highly recommend this place.

Excellent ice creams and sorbets from local produces at very reasonable price. We have been almost every day and also got delicious ice cream cakes . And always greeted by super friendly owners and staff and all for very reasonable prices

It was busy when we go there. They offer different gelato and granita. We had a cheesecake gelato. Actually it was really delicious 😋. The atmosphere was a little bit dirty, the tables weren’t clean at all and there was garbage flying in the street in front of it

The icecream is good, but the staff is absolutely the most rude one I’ve ever met. My mother was ordering, then one of the staff guy started making fun of her, mimicking her speaking, he was so incredibly rude, we didn’t even end up ordering more. It literally turned us off so badly. Why would you make fun of your customer? If you want to have a good experience, don’t come here. There are more good icecreams elsewhere, I’m sure….

A cone with 2 balls is sold for 2 euros. Totly worth it. Try the pistachhioso. Sugar high but delicious gelato.

Sit in the sun and sip your espresso, slurp aperol spritz or enjoy a Gelato. Sell fresh cannoli, sweets but also lunch! Great prizes and unlimited choices.

This place is quite old school and a bit sad. The main reason for the two stars is that they throw everything on the floor outside - plastic cups, serviettes, straws, etc. It is disgusting as it is right next to the sea and the wind blow everything into it. So sad and a lack of respect for nature.

Great breakfast and it’s the only place in Mondello with gluten-free options for breakfast (they offer gluten-free cannolis and brioche). All tasted great.

Average gelato, average brioche. Arancini are premade and microwaved instead of fried fresh to order. Not the worst place but definitely won’t be a highlight of your trip.

Antico Chiosco is part of the history of Mondello. If you want to try one of the excellent pieces of Rosticceria, Gelati, cooked dishes, sweets and more, please go and enjoy one of them sitting in the Square and enjoy the sun and beautiful view of the sea.

We went there for an icecream and it was really good! The brioche with icecream is veerry big, a whole family could eat of it. And also the cone with the icecream was huge! They had a vegan and glutenfree waffle (which costs extra) and two vegan tastes: pistacchio and nocciola *_*. It was a bit expensive though (4€ each).

High five for the gelato...the lemon is to die for!

I come with child and were waiting for service about 20 minutes. Stuff just ignored us and took orders from others clients even they came later when me. I don't know what the reason, my child didn't cry, were playing with toy cars and set calmly. Finally, just left place and made order in another restaurant.

Not sure how this place has so many negative reviews. I’ve been treated very well with my friend when visited. We arrived 15 minutes before 2pm and when asked for two beds and an umbrella we were advised by staff to wait 15 minutes as it would have costed half price. Not many people would do the same. We then seated at the bar for some food, the pasta and chicken salad were nice and at a fair price.

rude staff, mediocre food/drinks. no paper menu here, only a QR code to scan. and the internet is so slow by the beach especially if you’re on an international roaming plan. when i asked for a paper menu or if i could see it on the staffs phone, all they said was “no” and ignored me. okay so how am i supposed to order anything without a menu?? you just lost a customer

Okay, So if you are visiting Mondello beach, and you are not on a tight budget, I would recommend strategically paying for beach loungers by this particular bar. The business is a separate entity to the private beach - (you can opt for the public beach but it’s rammed) which for cost reference, loungers are €15 including a parasol per person - with access to toilets and showers to rinse off - plus €3 in cash for a refundable access band. I would point out that if you want a prime spot on the beach you need to book in advance online. Personally I like to have access to a beach bar with hot and cold food options and this seemed to be the defo seemed to be right place! - and while the prices are at a slight premium - you are paying for location on the most beautiful stretch of beach at Mondello - which is arguably the best beach area of Palermo hands down! So back to Mida Lounge - there is a number of tables - under shade or in the sun, if you are in a group you can reserve tables for lunch in advance. The Staff, Servers and I think even the lovely lady who seemed to be in charge are very friendly. They did seem to speak a few languages - so even if you don’t know Italian or Sicilian they can process your request - though I would say if you at least try to speak local - I think they even friendlier! Drinks wise €3 for chilled coke cans, €1.50 for a coffee. Cocktails €10 are available to drink at the bar in a glass or in plastic to takeaway back to your loungers. The bartender on duty was super professional and took great care to craft Negroni, Aperol Spritz.. even though the 1st few were in plastic glasses! There’s is a good selection of beers - and decent range of spirits - including a whole range of Hendricks Gins which I’ve never seen before! Foodwise - I opted for the Burger for €10 - which sounds steep - but was actually probably one of the best tasting burgers I’ve had! Smoking is permitted everywhere. Music playlists at the bar had me bopping along, with a welcomed lack of Reggae-ton! My only small criticism - is while the tables and chairs seemed fresh - the flooring was bit rough for bare feet and NO ARANCINI! (I’m highly addicted!) Highly recommend if you looking for a romantic place to sip a cocktail while you watch the Sunset! American Express and all major credit cards are accepted!

I was there couple of times last September and everything excellent. The food was delicious, amazing view and very cheap for being first line restaurants. Well the staff did not speak English but they manage to serve us. Overall great experience. Highly recommended!

There was a very limited food menu but they had the basics, chicken salad 10€, panini’s 5-10€. Drinks were not the cheapest 3€, beer is 4-5€. They brought the food and drinks quickly though. They don’t let you sit in the covered area unless you have a ‘reservation’ which was kind of annoying but there no problem finding a table.

We also fell in love with a nearby café – such a wonderful place! Everything is incredibly delicious, and we ended up coming back again and again. We became regulars during our stay. If you’re in the area, don’t miss it! And the way they wrap food to-go… it’s a whole love language of its own. So thoughtful and charming!

Excellent coffee, fantastic Ciambelle, and probably the best arancine in the whole Mondello. The cornetto stuffed with marmalade or pistachio cream are also not bad!

Perfection! Right by Mondello beach this bar serves delicious pastries, pasta salads and ice cream plus a range of hot and cold drinks at great prices, would highly recommend

It was raining heavily while we were there. We've spent 3 hours sitting inside. but otherwise it was a lovely, service was quick and efficient. Loved it. Def recommend it 🥰

Really lovely local cafe not far from the beach. Good for a small breakfast with sweets and coffee. I would recommend trying their croissants - they were delicious. I like the lemon one and my friend chose the creamy option. Also we ordered cannoli, they were fine as well. Fresh pastry, everything was clean, the waiters were polite though not all of them spoke English fluently.

Fantastic place for a quick brunch or wonderful evening setting! We enjoyed grilled salmon and tuna tartar, pizzas, delicious pastries and truly nice cocktails. The staff was great, and we felt welcomed as tourists. Wonderful choice when in Mondello!👌

The best salmon sandwich I ever had! The other sandwiches or dishes are also very tasty. Price is very good. The restaurant looks fancy but it’s quite affordable. They have food to go so it’s very convenient to stay at the Mondello beach and buy food from here. Highly recommended.

There are much cozier, cheaper and much better food places in Mondello. You won't get any waiters. The food doesn't match the price and. The only dessert we were offered was ice cream 🤷‍♀️

Good normal food but not good for gluten intolerant a if you want ice cream. First we asked for the gluten free brioche which they said they had but then didn’t. We then asked for a gluten free cone, which they had but then apparently none of the ice cream flavors were gluten free? Why even have gluten free cones. They had three one portion cakes which were gluten free and I chose the cheesecake. It was good and had the ingredients on it.
