Casa Rosa is clean and cozy restaurant with and kind service. I had battered octopus as a starter and tuna steak as a main course. The meal was perfectly prepared and tasty. if you want delicious seafood and excellent wine, I can highly recommend it.

Delicious meals and friendly service. Prices are reasonable. Nice atmosphere on the terrasse on the first floor. We can definitely recommend this Restaurant.

Best meal we've had in Cabo Verde. Excellent service, fresh ingredients. Highly recommend the goat cheese, goulash and beer-battered octopus.

We only popped in to have a drink and ended up staying for lunch. The food and staff were amazing and very friendly, especially Zanthony. We will definitely be back again for another visit this holiday. Thank you.

What an excellent night. It was a friends 50th birthday. We had the whole of the top floor. The food is excellent. They put on a hot buffet for us. Would highly recommend.

We went there on New Year's Even when they were fully booked and still accommodated us. The waitresses were very nice and attentive The menu is interesting - The paella was nice but if you are a purist probably don't choose that. The Torrija was the best dessert we had on the island!

Had dinner here once during the off season. Burger was not as per menu, missing some of the listed ingredients which were said to be unavailable when asked about. Would go back to try the paella if had the time. Service was OK.

We went twice to the restaurant while in Boa Vista. The food is excellent. The owner is very nice and same with the staff. Really recommendable if you visit this island.

We went as part of an excursion on holiday. We were greeted with much needed drinks and a warm smile. The hosts were lovely, very knowledgeable about the museum. Such a great place to visit with lots of historic information. A definite place to visit

Amazing!!!! Please do not leave this Island without visiting this museum. Really interesting to learn the history of this beautiful place and its people. My children have learnt more on this visit than anything taught at school. To see real artefacts used to shackle the slaves really brought home the brutality of man in this world. As the owner mentioned this is a history that should never be erased. Instead it should be learnt from! Will definitely visit again. Thanks Jon

This was one of the best museums we have ever visited. Three floors of artefacts and objects collected from ship wrecks and / or the beach we're displayed. The owner & his daughter talked us through the three floors. They were well-informed and passionate about their subject, made everything very interesting.

We had a great visit here. We decided to visit Sal Rei, we didn't know about the museum. Thankfully we visited on a day the museum was open. The staff were lovely and for the price we had an exceptional tour.

An absolutely amazing experience! Definitely worth going, our favourite in Sal Rei! Great art, and lot to learn about the history of Boa Vista. Their offerings are so unique, and you won't get anything similar from any of the excursions.

Fantastic restaurant in the backstreets of Sal Rei. We loved everything! Fantastic meats, imported from Italy. A super and surprising experience! We highly recommend it - don’t miss this hidden gem. A nice change to the Tuna. Best steakhouse in the country!!

It is a very unique restaurant and friendly service. But this year I was Two times unhappy. At First visit Some very loud guests and the relationship did not dare to interrupt this. Second Visitenkarten, Chicken hard like shoe brine, seafood without spices or sauce. Yes, Chicken was not on the bill. The onion soup was fantastic, the interior great. Last year was good, so I still gave 3 stars.

The food was average and quite expensive. However, the staff was very kind, and the chef worked hard to please the guests. He even finds out from the guests what can be improved. It made me very happy to see that the staff is not only concerned about monetary gain but also about keeping the guests happy. Therefore, I can highly recommend this place!

Lovely place! They were closing the kitchen when we were arriving for a late lunch, but they still let us to order. We had the best "tuna tartak in sezam" in our lives! Delicious deserts - maracuja mousse and chocolate mousse. Both really amazing. The prices were reseanable, we paid for lunch for two, 4 drinks in total and desserts about 45€. Also there was a nice view on the sea.

Tuna didn’t taste fresh nor grilled. Tuna with Shrimp sauce way too salty, fries not fresh either, deep frozen, and moreover the most expensive of all our restaurant visits in Sal Rei… Go elsewhere… Sodade, el mirador or 2 floors up porton di nos ilha … !!

If your idea of having fun is spending time with a waitress with a bad attitude then this is the place for you. Be enthralled in a first visit which results in you being completely ignored – why stop there? – try a second visit where you are reluctantly acknowledged with a scowl. On ordering - delight in a menu that consists of pasta dishes which to be fair is quite good – and the pastry dishes which would be a welcome addition to any self respecting Tank Driving Testing Range. This is a real winner for anyone with a taste for the bizarre.

Enjoyed a fabulous meal here. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the service was impeccable. We tried the local goats cheese and honey and wahoo tartar for staters then grilled tuna steak and squid in cumin sauce all delicious. Great wine too. Discovered this place by accident and we had an amazing dinner on the rooftop with Simon as our host. The best clams I ever had and fresh fish and we drank a bottle of the local wine "Cha". I would suggest to the owner to have more signs outside and some nice pictures so customers will walk up the 3 flights of stairs. Overall a great experience - obrigada!

I really regret that I only got here on my last night as the food here was just amazing! I had onion soup for starter and shrimp with manioc flour and banana for main…and WOW! Both outstanding! Especially main dish - who would think that banana can compliment prawns so beautifully. Customer service also very professional, I felt very well looked after- plus the guy spoken very good english. Place itself is stunning too- on a rooftop, with a breathtaking view, great music. It’s a place to go! Please remember to get cash with you as no card payment is accepted just yet :)

No pizza on the menu. Tropical salad was quite nice, pasta quite bland but ok. The service is passable.

We waited 1hour 50 minutes for a pizza , a salad and some grilled fish and chips . How can any restaurant justify such a long wait ? The restaurant was busy ( Saturday night) but clearly not set up to deal with the crowd . My pizza was quite good but the fish was over cooked and very average. I have never waited this long for food and the restaurant should have offered some snacks ( olives, bread ??) and a complimentary drink . It seems nearly every one who arrived around 8 pm had a long wait , so the kitchen is clearly overstretched and waiting staff not trained to deal with the situation .

It was really great, the food very fresh and so so fine, that was great, good wine, the service was very good. The Barbara is a great person. If somebody want the lobster he has to reserve this or the best thing 1 or 2 days before to order, the lobster is very fresh. Everything was very fresh.

Simply the best pizza in town. Always welcoming, alway great service, always great food.

Large portions (1 main dish or salad could easily feed two people). Clean kitchen. Good cocktails. Main courses are cooked and served even in siesta hours, when other places around could only offer drinks. Alcohol drinks come with a plate of focaccia crumbles👍 No WIFI, though.

Very nice little restaurant with a few but good choices to eat. I can recommend the Filet Mignon, which is very tasty and well grilled. The waiter is friendly and kind and makes sure you are comfortable. The view is at this moment a building site of the new marketplace, which has something special when you eat here.

Extremely good food, the carpaccio (smoked and non smoked) are delicious! Then the blue Marlin tuna as main course, divine! Especially for that price. The place is really cosy and the staff is friendly. When you are around, definitely worth paying a visit.

Delicious Tuna at Blue Marlin... honest prices. We had a good evening. Reservation is need because it a tiny restaurant with only 4 tables inside and outside another 2.

A small but very friendly place for excellent fish. A drink to greet us and a helpful waiter to make us welcome. The walls are covered with signatures added over many years which show how popular the Blue Marlin is.

Very nice cuisine! My personal highlight was the smoked wahoo - A MUST TRY! The amberjack in orange sauce had been delicious, too, and made a great combination with the garlic potatoes. The cherry on top was the baobab cheesecake, which was very light and tasty. The texture was simply great! The interior of the restaurant is super beautiful. IMPORTANT: Make sure you reserve a table in advance. They are booked out nearly every day! I was lucky enough to find a small table for one just outside the restaurant. The food is generally pricey, very comparable to European standards though. For the quality however it is worth it and the perfect choice if you want to treat yourself. Also a fitting place for a romantic date. All in all one of the best cuisines I had in 14 days Boa Vista.

I actually didn't eat here but we visit the museum, it was €4 euros and they have you a phone and speaker in your language to hear about the history of the house. It was really informative. They staff there are lovely and so friendly and the gardens were amazing so beautiful

Whilst the restaurant looked great and the service was adequate, the food was really bad. When my partner ask for the catch of the day, they should have stipulated which day because it was definitely not the day we ate there. The sauce on my main was nice but again ruined by a substandard price of fish. I assume they survive because it is a tourist destination and is considered a bit upmarket. But really the worst place we have eaten on the island. Looking at the reviews, seems that a lot are local guides. A lovely space but trading on its image and not it's food.

I have a big problem with this restaurant because it stole my heart with its interior design and service. However, the dishes, although beautifully served, were not to my liking. Despite several visits, the only dish I can recommend is the avacado sandwich.
